Practicing Resurrection Day 12

dandelion

Dandelions… beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It is usually the first flower a mom will receive from her child.  When it goes to seed it is usually the first place a child learns to make wishes as it blows the fluffy white flower into the wind. The dandelion was intentionally brought to North America, most likely on the Mayflower for its medicinal benefits. Every part of it is edible, and it is the largest source of spring nector for all sorts of pollinators.

“If dandelions were hard to grow, they would be most welcome on any lawn.” Andrew Mason
