I thought it was an eagle’s nest, but zoomed in to find the craftmen were a pair of osprey. Every time I drive by I have to pull over and admire their workmanship. These birds started from scratch and added huge sticks to make this intricate nest on top of a pole. I sat and watched them work together to get a stick settled in on one of my treks by. What an amazing feat! All of creation testifies to God’s glory. I continue to practice watching and listening, to be still and know He is God.
Just ask the animals, and they will teach you.
Ask the birds of the sky, and they will tell you.
Speak to the earth, and it will instruct you.
Let the fish in the sea speak to you. -Job 12:7-8

Throwback Thursday… sometimes I focus on a thought for a short time and then I move on. I am realizing how often I need to come back to them and give them more attention. As I am usually late to the party, I am jumping on the old idea of throwback Thursday to revisit some of those ideas. My egrets are back. I watch with amazement and then am reminded to consider the birds in the crazy time. “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” Matthew 6:26 Peace returns.
