Practicing Resurrection Day 42

Learning to look through the trees to see the bridge that is available in many situations. I was talking to another sub this week, she mentioned how when a kid is behaving in a certain way, instead of seeing it as begging for attention, to accept it as an invitation to build a bridge to the kid. I was thinking today how many times this mindset could be applied. Cold-shoulders, harsh answers, defensive words are opportunities to look for the bridge to that person’s heart. It is easy to respond in the same fashion, or avoid altogether, but we are to follow Christ’s example who came towards us and pursued us even while we were enemies because of His great love for us. And because of His great mercies, this is the least I can do for others.

Lord, help me to see the bridge, or be willing to build one.
