Powerful Prayers for Your Son: Praying for Every Part of His Life by Rob and Joan Teigen is a book I will have in my prayer corner. This is not a cover to cover read, but a great book full of topics with related scriptures and prayers. I also appreciate the extra testimonials of encouragement and life stories (prayer stories) related to various topics. I do feel like the target is more middle school and beyond. It covers school and life. So although my boys are now transitioning into manhood I still felt like I could adapt the prayers for them but if I had young boys I would not feel that I could adapt as well.
Some of the topics cover discipline, future, character, courage, and more. I highly recommend this book as a resource for parents of boys. There is also a Powerful Prayers for Your Daughters available. I was able to get a peek at this one also. It is the counterpart for those with daughters. I would recommend both for those looking for some help in praying fervently for their kids in older elementary school and up.
