Throwback Thursday… sometimes I focus on a thought for a short time and then move on too quickly. I am realizing how often I need to come back to them and give them more attention. As I am usually late to the party, I am now jumping on the old idea of throwback Thursday to revisit some of those ideas… May we be people that remind others of their humanity, and help others see that all people are made in the imago dei, the image of God. May we never dehumanize, or remove the humanity side of any issue. Without the narrative of humanity, humans are capable of horrendous things. This week bares witness to that. May our lives resonate with the truest narrative of all humanity. We are all made in the image of God.

Then I was reminded of all the hateful comments under a local news story about a local drug bust on social media. I wondered who placed the signs, and who those people were that wrote those comments. Had they lost a son or daughter to an overdose? What made them plant a whole row of these signs? or take time to write such angry comments?
My heart ached for those people who felt the need to do so. Not sure if they thought it might help something, or if it just made them feel like they were doing something…
